Brian Cox tries to sell me an NFT

Attended a literary soirée hosted by the Society of Authors. At dinner I was seated next to the actor Brian Cox from Succession, who insisted on showing me his NFT collection. It consisted entirely of pictures of cartoon apes, each wearing a different hat. “This one’s a fireman,” he said, holding his phone in front of my face. “This one’s an army corporal. This one’s a chef. This one’s a member of the communist party.” There were twenty-five in total, which he told me he had bought for £10,000 each in 2022. He then asked if I would like to buy one. When I said no thank you, his demeanour changed. “Yes you do,” he snapped. “I saw the way you looked at the chef. You want the chef. How much for the chef?” I told him I had no use for a cartoon ape chef. “Name a price,” he hissed.
