Remembering AI
AI was a form of technology that rose to prominence in 2023 and led to the demise of most jobs. Short for Artificial Intelligence, AI was used to automate all technical processes and create all content. By the end of the 2020s, there were only two human professions left; lifeguard and priest. (In order to make ends meet, many operated as both.) As well as jobs, AI was also responsible for the end of truth. With so much artificially generated content being constantly produced, it became increasingly difficult to tell the real from the misleading. To simplify matters, AI eventually removed the word ‘truth’ from the dictionary, erasing the concept entirely. For most of us, this came as a relief. After so long spent trying to decide what was real, we no longer had to worry about it.
